Thanks to all who have put Caldwell County's most recent community clean-up days to good use! Because of your participation, we have been able to help collect more than 30 tons of unwanted non-hazardous household waste during three Saturday events this summer. At our most recent event at the Unit Road Department office, located in Pct. 1, volunteers from the county's Unit Road Department collected 11.28 tons of unwanted items, including mattresses and other furniture, and approximately 100 old tires.
An event to collect unwanted items in Pct. 2 is tentatively set for early November. Stay tuned! We'll confirm the exact date soon.
Results from collections held earlier this summer include:
Pct. 4 - 9.47 tons collected, including 550 tires
Pct. 3 - 11.84 tons (No tires were collected at this event.)
