An excessive heat warning is now in effect and will remain in effect through 9 p.m. Wednesday. Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 108 and heat index values up to 116 are expected, the US National Weather Service Austin-San Antonio Texas said. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
