Caldwell County Commissioners this week honored William "Chuck" Foreman for his work helping children through the Center for Search and Investigation, a nonprofit organization that helps locate missing children and provides training and assistance to families, communities and law enforcement agencies.
June 11, 2024 was recognized as Chuck Foreman Day.
The organization draws on resources that include volunteer citizens, licensed private investigators, bikers, law enforcement officers and others.
Some fun facts about Foreman:
- He served with distinction for 10 years in the United States Army and was assigned to Special Operations for more than seven years.
- He was present at the fall of the Berlin Wall while serving in Alten-Buseck, Germany and was the first United States Army soldier to enter Kuwait City during the Liberation of Kuwait.
- He is a founding member of the United States Department of Homeland Security.
