Due to windy, dry conditions and risk of wildfire, the Caldwell County burn ban will be back in effect as of 12:01 a.m. Sunday, March 15. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag warning from noon Sunday through 8 a.m. Monday. Winds with gusts of up to 45-55 mph are expected by Sunday night, increasing the risk of wildfires substantially.

The burn ban will remain in place through 9 a.m. Thursday, March 26. All outdoor burning is prohibited from 12:01 a.m. March 15 through 9 a.m. Thursday, March 26. Commissioners will discuss the burn ban that day at the next regular scheduled commissioners court meeting.
